Instead, we promote natural methods of pest control, soil enrichment, and crop rotation, which help maintain the ecological balance of the land.

Shade-grown coffee is another essential aspect of our farming philosophy. The coffee plants thrive under the protection of other trees, which helps maintain biodiversity, reduces water usage, and protects the soil from erosion. This method also allows the coffee to develop rich, nuanced flavors that reflect the unique environment in which it's grown.

Farmer Training and Empowerment

We partner closely with local farmers and provide comprehensive training in modern coffee cultivation techniques. From proper pruning to pest management and post-harvest processing, we equip farmers with the knowledge they need to produce high-quality coffee. Our training also emphasizes the importance of maintaining organic practices to ensure the best possible beans are harvested.

Partnership with Farmers

We have long-term, trusted partnerships with farmers in key coffee-growing regions, including Lamjung, Syangja, and Palpa. For over 20 years, we’ve worked with a family farm in Lamjung to produce exceptional coffee, and these enduring relationships ensure we always have a steady supply of top-quality beans.

Our commitment to fair trade principles is reflected in the support we offer farmers. We pay competitive prices and ensure that farmers are compensated fairly for their hard work, which enables them to reinvest in their farms and communities. We also make a special effort to empower women within these communities, offering employment opportunities and skill development that contribute to their personal growth and economic stability.

Processing and Quality Control

After the coffee cherries are harvested, we ensure they undergo meticulous processing to maintain the highest quality. In areas where there are no pulping centers, farmers use the natural method of processing, which we help guide through training on optimal drying times. In areas where we have our own coffee washing stations in Syangja and Palpa, we facilitate wet processing to ensure the beans are washed, fermented, and dried with the utmost care.

We take quality control seriously at every stage. Only the most mature cherries are selected for processing, and we invest in educating farmers to help them identify the ideal ripeness. This rigorous selection process results in beans that meet the highest standards of quality, ensuring a smooth, aromatic cup with a distinct flavor profile.
